Le Brexit les brise manifestement à un bon paquet d'Anglais et chacun y réagit à sa manière. Gold Panda a choisi d'exprimer toute sa frustration dans un EP 5 titres qui sort seulement deux mois après Good Luck And Do Your Best. Et ce Kingdom est à mille lieues des titres colorés du LP précédent. Ici, on s'enfile une tasse de désarroi... Ainsi, concernant le troisième titre "Stolen Phone", le producteur anglais raconte l'avoir écrit après avoir discuté avec son voisin. Un Afghan victime malgré lui d'un coursier peu scrupuleux : “It was made after talking to a neighbour who moved his family from Afghanistan to the UK. He ordered a phone off Amazon so he could call home, but the delivery driver signed for it and kept it. I thought this was a pretty sh*tty welcome. I made a couple of less happy songs that are very very loosely based around that and my Brexit fears, which were sadly confirmed.”
