Robert Smith est plutôt du genre généreux : on en a eu la preuve avec le dernier album de The Cure l'année dernière, et on en a la preuve à chaque fois que l'on peut les voir en live.
Alors forcément, quand le légendaire groupe anglais annonce un album de remixes intitulé Mixes of a Lost World, on ne s'étonne pas vraiment d'apprendre que les droits d'auteur issus de celui-ci seront reversés à l'organisation caritative War Child UK. Et comme il s'agit de The Cure, les beaux noms se bousculent au portillon : Chino Moreno des Deftones, Daniel Avery, Four Tet, Shanti Celeste, Paul Oakenfold, Orbital, Mura Masa ou encore Mogwai. Au total, 24 remixes répartis sur 3 LP ou 2 CD.
Le remix par Four Tet de « Alone » et celui de « I Can Never Say Goodbye » par Paul Oakenfold sont en écoute juste en dessous. Pour le reste, il faudra encore un peu patienter : Mixes of a Lost World sortira le 13 juin.
