Les Essential Mix, on est plutôt bons clients. Il faut dire que très régulièrement, Pete Tong invite dans son émission des producteurs dont le talent fou n'est plus à prouver. Et ce weekend, c'est Nicolas Jaar qui a eu le privilège de pondre une sélection pour la légendaire émission de la BBC.

On va être honnêtes avec vous, on n'a pas encore écouté le Essential Mix du producteur new-yorkais, mais avec un tracklisting qui convie Aphex Twin, Jay-Z, Angelo Badalamenti, Feist, Bill Calahan, The Field, Ricardo Villalobos, Pearson Sound, Marvin Gaye ou Beyoncé, ça donne quand même envie. Clairement, avec une telle liste d'invités, l'exercice peut vite virer à l'indigeste, mais on compte sur l'élégance et la délicatesse de Nicolas Jaar pour rendre ces deux heures de musique carrément savoureuses…
